Non-Toxic, Sustainable Materials

Hardwood, tile, metal, paper, aluminum, stainless steel, glass., cork, paper, bamboo.. each choice of material must balance chemical safety, sustainability, weight, aesthetics and cost.

Shell and Insulation
A look at materials I can use for the exterior shell, and for insulation. Like the rest of the vehicle, these materials must be lightweight and non-toxic, but the shell must also be durable, able to withstand, vibration, wind, and wide temperature ranges without degrading.

Floors, Walls and Furnishings
Materials used in the interiors need to be more completely non-toxic than the exterior, since anything they outgas will directly affect my health.  In addition to being non-toxic and lightweight, they must be easy to clean, maintain and repair, and they must appeal to me esthetically.  I want a range of textures and colors that make me comfortable, that make the space feel more spacious and relaxing in rest areas, stimulating in work areas.
